Scope and Content: 

This records information on Chinese indentured immigrants to Trinidad during the period 1852 to 1866. They are compiled by ship name in bound volumes and are arranged in alphabetical sequence by estate. They contain the immigrant’s name, village, province, ship name, estate and monthly salary. They also outline terms and conditions governing food, clothing, medical assistance and special fees. The ships include the Australia (March 1853); Clarendon (April 1853), Lady Flora Hastings (June 1853) Maggie Miller/Wanata (July 1862), Montrose (February 1865) Paria (May 1865); Dudbrook (February 1866); Red Riding Hood (February 1866)
